I was good friends while we were in college. I visited his family in Texas many times. I am shocked to learn of this. I am even more surprised that I have never heard from Eleanor. --  though I have sent 25+ letters and emails to her.  I am very surprised that she never returned my messages? She too attended the same undergraduate university as Tom & I. If anyone ever sees this, please ask Eleanor to phone Ken Pallante @913-485-5143. Thank you.

Dear Eleanor, Trish and Michael,
Bruce and I absolutely adored Tom.  He was brilliant, funny, kind and generous.  Our hearts grieve for your loss and all of us who lost a unique and beautiful  soul.  God Bless you.

I would like to offer my condolences to all of Tom's family. Tom was a talented, generous, and loving man.

Tom was a great boss, and I learned much from him in the short time I worked with him before his 2007 stroke.  I always wished it was longer. He along with the successor to his law firm are the reasons I moved to Texas.  I'm thankful for their persistence in persuading me to move here.

Tom taught me much about how to practice law and about work-life balance, and I have missed his wisdom, guidance, wit, company, and encouragement since his retirement.  Indeed, he was a mentor.  I'm sad to hear of his passing, but I am thankful for having known him and for his influence. I am most thankful though for his heavenly healing and peace he has attained after going through much difficulty in his untimely retirement.

Tom liked to often refer to himself as "The Infamous Thomas P. Stone" and one thing's for sure - there will never be another one like him!  Tom was the greatest boss I ever had and such a loyal friend.  He  taught me so much about understanding and compassion and giving back to those you love.  I will deeply miss him and I know many others will too.  Tom has found his peace at last.
