Tom Causey

John Thomas “Tom” Causey, son of Cloy and Barbara Causey, born on March 19, 1969, passed away unexpectedly on November 30, 2014, in Houston, Texas. A native Houstonian, Tom was a proud member of the 1987 graduating class of Strake Jesuit College Preparatory School and received his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Austin in 1992. He was a Life Member of the Ex-Student Association of the University of Texas. A computer systems consultant his entire career, Tom most recently worked as Technical Account Manager at T- Systems. An avid lover of dogs, Tom was active in FlashPaws, regularly competing in agility competitions locally and throughout the country.

In addition to his parents, Tom is survived by his sister, Marti Hewell and her husband, Chuck, his brother Rick Causey and his wife, Elizabeth, along with his niece, Janie Smith and her husband Dusty, and nephews Chris and Ricky Causey. Tom is also survived by his longtime best friend and fellow dog-lover, Paula Parrish, and his Uncle “Pip”, Aunt Dean and many cousins. Tom’s beloved dogs were Tippy, Jif, Tracy, Zoey, Ty, Shirley and Fergie.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at 10am in the Robb Chapel at The Woodlands United Methodist Church, 2200 Lake Woodlands Drive. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be made to The Golden Retriever Foundation, PO Box 3462, Omaha NE, 68103 or Strake Jesuit College Preparatory School, 8900 Bellaire Blvd., Houston TX, 77036-4699.
