

Valentin Jimenez Jr, son, brother, loving father, and husband left this world on August 15, 2021 at the age of 69. Born in Fentress, Texas to Lucibia and Valentin Jimenez, Sr, Valentin grew up in San Antonio, Texas alongside his 12 brothers and sisters: Janie, Teresa, Mary, Irene, Robert, Diana, George, Arthur, Reynaldo, Elizabeth, Lucivia (Lucy)and Adam.
He was preceded in death by his father, mother, brother George, and beloved little sister Lucy. He leaves behind his wife, Janelle Jimenez; daughter, Ida Marie Aristizabal, daughter Francesca Shannon and husband John, daughter, Michelle Reyes and husband Ricky, son Valentin Jimenez III and wife Lisa, son Joseph Jimenez, and daughter Corrine Jimenez and boyfriend Sabastian; 10 grandchildren, Nicolas, Alyssa, Danielle, Ava, Hailey, Jack, Savannah, Matthew, Delilah and Serena; former spouse, Linda and her husband, Aaron; and many nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.
Valentin was drafted in the United States Army and served in 1972-1974 and again from 1976 -1979. He received a National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and Expert Rifle Badge during his service. Following his time in the service, Valentin moved to Houston, Texas where he worked for the city of Houston and then for the United States Postal Service, where he retired after 20 years.
Valentin had a love for the outdoors, carpentry, and spending time with family and friends. He loved fishing, riding horses, and doing anything out in the yard. Especially during his retirement days, Valentin found enjoyment in working out in the yard or morning walks. He was always a hard worker and could never sit still, always having a project going on. He felt the most fulfillment from his many carpentry jobs and always prided himself on the work he did. He also loved his visits back to San Antonio and talked about returning one day.
A celebration of life for Valentin will be held Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home, 18000 Interstate 45 S, The Woodlands, Texas 77384, followed by a reception from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
Due to the current health concerns and for your safety and theirs, the family kindly requests no hugs or handshakes. Out of caution for all in attendance, the family also recommends masks.
