Virginia L.C. Young

Virginia was born December 10, 1933 in Rio Hondo, Tx. fourth child to Joseph Britton Askew and LeElla Williams Askew. Besides her parents, Virginia is preceded in death by two daughters, Carolyn Miller and Helen Miller Nybro, brothers, Bobby Gene, J.B., and Morris (Buddy) Askew, sister, Billie Joe Askew Bond, and brother-in-law Richard Smitley, also Virginia's husbands; Leland Miller, Bert Vochatzer and Tommy Young.

Virginia is survived by sister, Helen Smitley of Shenandoah, grandsons, Jeremy and Shawn Nybro, great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn and son-in-law Clay Nybro all of San Marcos, TX.

Virginia lived in Harlingen, TX most of her life and worked for Bell Telephone Company. Due to ill health, she moved to Shenandoah in 2007 to be near Helen and family. Lung cancer took the lives of four of Virginia's siblings, both daughters, their father, Leland and mother-in-law Alene Miller.

Grave Side Services will be at Mont Meta Cemetery in San Benito, TX at 3:00 PM Saturday, June 02, 2012. The Rev. Jerry Johnson will officiate in San Benito. Interment will follow and Virginia will be buried by her daughter, Carolyn Miller.
