Will was a native Houstonian, born at Hermann Hospital in 1938. His family moved to McAllen, Texas, when he was six years old so his father could drill for oil. A lot of Will’s youth was spent in the oilfields. He loved roaming the fields and surrounding areas, hunting.
He married Judy twenty-seven years ago and they lived in Houston for most of that time. He retired from a career in commercial real estate that spanned nearly 50 years.
Will loved “Making pictures.” He had an avid love of photography and rode with the Harris County Fire Department, the Montgomery County Fire Department, the Montgomery County Hospital District and LifeFlight, taking action pictures of the first responders. One of his pictures was chosen to be the cover of Texas EMS magazine, something of which he was very proud.
He is survived by his wife, Judy; daughter Kimberly Wilson and her daughter, Ashley; daughter Melissa Flower and her husband, John, and their two sons, Jack and Josh; daughter Jan Self and her son, Daniel Porter, and Daniel’s son, Konnor; and also son, Ricky Radley, and his wife, Marisa, and his son, Tony Radley.
Will is predeceased by his parents, Wilbur Douglas Kennard, Sr., and Margaret Douglas Kennard; sister, Karol Wilson; and grandson, Peter Blessinger.
A memorial service will be held at noon on Sunday, December 18, 2016, at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home. A reception will immediately follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation to your favorite charity.
