

Kenneth served as a rifleman during WWII with the 104th Infantry Division in Europe. He was awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge, Bronze Star, two European Battle Stars. He participated in the Battle of the Rhineland and the Battle of Central Europe.
After earning a Bachelors of Science degree in Chemical Engineering, University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1950, Kenneth embarked on a career with Wisconsin Electric Power Company. He served for a time as Superintendent of Chemical Services. He assisted in the design and operation of power stations in Eastern Wisconsin. He also conducted research at the Electric Power Research Institute in Palo Alto, CA. He and Diane resided in Whitefish Bay for 45 years. Recently, they lived at Willowbrook, an independent living complex in Thiensville, WI.
Kenneth is survived by his wife of 60 years, Diane Ziebell Lehner, his sons, Kevin A. (Leann) Lehner, Rex C. Lehner (former wife Merry) and Martin F. (Christine) Lehner. He will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren, Sarah, Claire, Ashton and Rita Lehner. His brother Robert (Viola) and nieces Jacqueline Lehner (deceased) and Joyce (Mark) Lehner Fornier. Brother in Law, Edward William II (Ruth) Ziebell and nephews Edward William (Kim) Ziebell III their son William IV, their daughter Samantha and her newborn Scarlet, son Michael (Nancy) sons Matthew and Mark, and niece Renee (Steven) Combs, their son Daniel, serving in Afghanistan, daughter Rachel. Also, family friends Don and Nancy Compte.
A memorial service will be held for the immediate family at a later date.
