Barbara was born February 15, 1941 in Davidson County to the late Hubert Lindsay and Ella Mae Stead Russell. She was employed with Thomasville Medical Center for 40 years as a dedicated registered nurse. She also worked at various doctor’s offices and nursing homes in the area.
She is survived by a daughter, Toby Lynn Pendleton and husband Gerald; grandson, Lindsay (Bubba) Pendleton and Danielle; sister, Patricia Murphy and husband David; ex-husband and great friend Hal (Toby) Yandle; numerous nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Wednesday March 27, 2013 at Thomasville Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 pm Thursday March 28th in Thomasville Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop James Carter officiating.
