David Ray Fuller Jr.

He was born October 12, 1972 in Guilford County, NC to David Ray Fuller, Sr. and Bertha Lorraine Pope Hicks. He spent his life in the Thomasville area. He loved working in the garden, “tinkering” with junk, fixing anything broken, fishing, and spending time with his nephew’s and niece. He had a heart of gold and would do anything for those he loved.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister Tracy Hicks, brother-in-law Jimmy Hicks, nephew Cody Hicks (wife Teresa) and great nephew Landon, niece Trisha Hicks, and nephew JD Hicks. He was preceded in death by his stepfather Douglas E. Hicks, grandparent’s Ernest Pope, Bertha “Granny” Pope, Wilber “PawPaw Buck” Fuller, Betty Hulin and uncle Harvey Pope.

DJ, my loving son. I miss you so much and I’m so lonely without you. I am lost and empty inside. You’ve always had a heart of gold, priceless, loving, caring, and giving. My comfort and my security here on earth. The man of our house that took lots of worries and made them less for me to bare. You showed me love and encouragement in so many ways more than you ever knew and when I needed it most. You were and are a great son, uncle, and brother. Our hearts are broken. We love you, miss you, and we’ll “see you in heaven, one sweet day.” Love, Mom

I love you and miss you more than you will ever know. Our lives will never be the same. I remember waiting for you to get off the bus on the front porch in our little rocking chair. I couldn’t wait for you to get home so we could play. I expect the same from you, to be waiting for me when it’s time for me to come home.
