He was born December 28, 1941 in Forsyth County to the late Thomas W. and Cenie Logan Newsome.
David loved gardening and horses.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Diane Davis Newsome; daughters, Sherry Crawford and husband Roger of Thomasville, Connie Pennington and husband Darin of Lexington, Christy Davis and husband Dale of Lexington; brother, Bill Newsome of Thomasville; sisters, Ruby Payne of Denton, Louise Davis of Archdale, Bonnie McKinney of Thomasville, Sue Wheeler and husband Wayne of High Point; grandchildren, Candice Dempski, Frank Pennington, Courteny Davis, Tiffany Davis; great grandchild Dennis Blue.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Monday, April 4, 2011 at Thomasville Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 pm Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at Thomasville Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Brian Workman of Community Baptist Church officiating; Interment will follow in Floral Garden Memorial Park in High Point.
