Jaret Brent Loggins, Jr., 73, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, November 14, 2020 at his residence.
Jr. was born in Chester, PA, January 13, 1947, a son of the late Jaret Brent Loggins and Ossie Parker Loggins. He spent the first part of his life in Pennsylvania and Florida before settling with his parents in Mountain City, Tennessee. Jaret developed bartering skills that would serve him in many ways throughout his life. Jaret was a kind man, always willing to lend a helping hand In all his years, he never met a stranger, a trait that made him a favorite at flea markets he once frequented. He loved to laugh, finding humor even in times of great strife. He was a quiet man on his own, reflective and observant. Jaret was a man whose presence filled the room even when he didn't speak a word. He was a man who witnessed hard times and sorrow but always managed to take them in stride. Jaret was a devout Christian, having attended Full Gospel Freewill Holiness Church for the past twenty years.
Surviving are his wife of 41 years, Porchia Comer Loggins; two sons, Shane Eller and his wife Sayword and Carl Loggins and his wife Bridgett; 6 grandchildren, Kalla, Natalie and Joshua Loggins, Miranda Hawley, and Stephanie and Ares Eller and 2 great-grandchildren, Oliver Hardee and Dexter Hawley.
A Celebration of Jaret's life will be held Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at 7 p.m. at Full Gospel Freewill Holiness Church by Pastor William Hutchens, Jr. Graveside service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church Wednesday from 6 until 7 p.m. Memorials may be directed to St. Jude's.
