Jimmy Ray Gallimore

Jimmy Ray Gallimore, age 68, of Thomasville passed away on March 10, 2021 peacefully at his home. He was born in Denton, NC on January 3rd, 1953 to the late Charles Colon Gallimore and Edna Mae Waisner Gallimore.
Jimmy and his family moved to Thomasville when he was in the seventh grade. He graduated from East Davidson High School and later received an associate degree from Davidson County Community College. Jimmy served his country and retired from the United States Air Force Reserves. Jimmy was a huge Atlanta Braves fan and never missed watching a game on television. He spent the majority of his working career at Winn-Dixie as well as Leggett & Platt.
Jimmy is survived by his daughter Alice Holt Whitesell and husband Scott of Canonsburg, PA; one sister, Hilda Atwood and husband Dale of Thomasville, NC; two grandchildren, Braeden and Alaina Whitesell of Canonsburg, PA; three nieces, Tammy Darnell, Stephanie Crafford and Megan Blackburn. He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Thelma Diane Ferguson Gallimore; two sisters, Patricia Sheffield and Joyce Ingram.
A celebration of life service led by Rev. Bynum Orr will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, March 28, 2021 in the Chapel of Sechrest-Davis of Thomasville, 18 Randolph Street, Thomasville, NC 27360.
