Born December 5, 1928, in Jennings, FL, Eloise was the beloved daughter of the late George Avriett and Nora Catherine Mathis Avriett. A devout, faithful Christian, she was a member of Lexington Church of Christ, where her steady presence and sincere heart reflected the strength of her beliefs.
Eloise also found simple, joyful happiness in the things that made life feel light—especially trips to the beach, which she truly loved and looked forward to. Those moments of sun, water, and togetherness became part of the warm legacy she leaves behind.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Sheri Maynard (Rick) and Tangi Crotts (Tony); her son, Michael Shadrick (Jaynie); her grandchildren, Mandi Basile (John), Ashley Chen (P.W.), Kasey Shadrick (Mose), Dustin Maynard (Ashley), Kori Shadrick (Brandon), and Kenny Shadrick (Makayla); and her great-grandchildren, Amy, Adam, Isaiah, Eli, Kayden, Finn, Rhys, Will, Eloise, Journey, Mallory, Elaina, and Colson. She is also survived by her brother, Rodger Avriett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Pelton "Joe" Shadrick; brother, Charles Avriett; and sister, Shirley Black.
