She was the beloved daughter of Doris Sowers Baranowski of Thomasville, NC, who survives her. She was preceded in death by her father, Orville Elwood Baranowski; maternal grandparents, Ervin and Margaret “Maggie” Black Sowers of Thomasville, NC; and paternal grandparents, Walter Benjamin Baranowski of Elmira, NY, and Margaret Woodlieff Bennet of Stokes County, NC.
Kristi graduated from North Davidson High in 1986. She was last employed at PPG Industries in Lexington, NC.
Kristi died from thyroid cancer and had suffered with multiple sclerosis from age 13 until her death. She loved animals and her beloved “Bitsy”, who passed away in July at age 20+ years.

Morgan, Judy Forester; her cousins, Debbie Williams, Gayle Scott, Darlene Kimrey, Sherry Fletcher, and Marcia Norgant; her aunt, Jean Sowers of Orange Park, FL; and her medical providers, Dr. Chester Haworth, Dr. Eric Moser, Dr. Fowler and Sunni of Forsyth Medical Center, and Dr. Clifton Baker and staff at Denton Health Care.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, September 15, 2022, at Sechrest-Davis Funerals & Cremations, 18 Randolph St, Thomasville, NC 27360. Burial will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
