Patricia Diane Newsome

Patricia Diane Newsome, age 78, passed away on Friday, February 2, 2024 following a medical condition due to surgery eight days earlier.

Diane was born in Guilford County, April 21, 1945, a daughter of the late Ralph Burton Davis and Lois Jacqueline Leonard Davis. She worked at Clarendon Industries for many years and retired from Baker Furniture. Diane enjoyed gardening, raising flowers, horses and in later years playing cards with friends. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. Diane was a member of Community Baptist Church in Silver Valley. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Newsome and a sister, Sharon Joyce Davis.

Surviving are three daughters, Sherry Crawford and husband Roger, Connie Pennington and husband Darin and Christy Davis and husband Dale; four grandchildren, Frank Pennington, Candice Dempski, Courtney Hedrick and Tiffany Davis; four great-grandchildren, Dennis Blue Jr., Braylon Blue, Clara Hedrick and Woodland Kilby; and sister-in-law, Bonnie McKinney.

A Celebration of Diane's life will be held Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2024 at 11 a.m. in the Sechrest-Davis Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Brian Workman. Burial will follow in Floral Garden Park Cemetery in High Point. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 6 until 8 p.m.
