Ruby Carolyn Byrd

Ruby was born in Davidson County, December 12, 1944, a daughter of the late Paul and Margaret Payne. She was a licensed ham radio operator and a notary public. Ruby was a member of the Red Hats in Sun City, Arizona where she lived for many years. Ruby loved to go to ham fests and flea markets. She was preceded in death by her husband Norman Kent Byrd and a brother, Austin Payne.

There are no immediate survivors.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects at Thomasville Funeral Home Tuesday from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m.

Memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor's choice.
