

A resident of this area all of her life, Mrs. Tuttle was born on May 22, 1928 to the late Howard and Minnie Small Parrish. She was of the Baptist faith and had worked at Thomasville Furniture for many years. She especially enjoyed going to the beach and spending time with her children and grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Austin Tuttle; sister, Beulah Embler; and two brothers, Wade Parrish and Griff Parrish.
Surviving are her children, Carolyn Lanier and her husband Phillip of Thomasville, Brenda McDowell and her husband Benny of Denton, Calvin Tuttle and his wife Debbie of High Point, and Judy Jones of Asheboro, NC; six grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and one brother, Jerry Parrish and his wife Peggy of Silver Valley.
A funeral service will be held at 3 pm Sunday, Aug. 28 at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, 8138 E Old US Hwy 64, Lexington, with Rev. Darrell Summey and Rev. Eddie Hill officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm Saturday, Aug. 27 at Thomasville Funeral Home, 18 Randolph Street.
