Tommy was born in Thomasville, March 15, 1972, a son of the late Arnold Junior Payne and Ora Howard Payne. He was a mechanic with the City of High Point as long as his health permitted. Tommy loved reading, NASCAR and Dallas Cowboys football.
Surviving are his wife, Sharon Thomas Payne of the home; a daughter, Amber Payne; a step-son, Dustin Ledbetter; four sisters, Ann Taylor and husband Rev. David Taylor, June Henson and husband Mike, Joy Henson and husband Ricky and Judy Lee and husband Jimmy; three brothers, David Payne and wife Susie, Charles Payne and wife Cherie and Ronnie Payne and wife Rita; and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Tommy’s Life will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, 4429 Bowman Rd., Randleman. The family will receive friends at the residence Saturday and Sunday. Thomasville Funeral Home is serving the family.
