

Vicente was born on August 29, 1977 at Edgewater Hospital in Chicago, Illnois. He was the son of Luis Ruiz and Florina Ruacho. Vicente grew up in Chicago and Nichols, South Carolina.
Vicente was raised with nine siblngs. He had brothers Ramon Acuna, Luis Ruiz, Miguel Ruiz, and Sofio Ruiz, and sisters Rita Rhodes nee Acuna, Belem Ruiz, Veronica Ruiz, Solangne Sanders nee Acero, and Betania Ruiz. Vicente was usually involved in all sorts of activities with his siblings. He and his siblings experienced rivalries typical of a growing family, but they shared many life experiences over the years.
As a young boy, Vicente had a number of interests. Like most children, he enjoyed playing and making up games. He was curious about the world around him and was often eager to explore it. Vicente was an active child who took part in T- Ball. In his spare time he liked to collect baseball cards and play baseball. However, to Vicente, the most fun to be had was simply playing and spending time with his friends.
Vicente worked hard to be a good father to his children and he did his best to fulfill their needs. Vicente was blessed with two children, son Armani Ruiz and daughter Kristina Ruiz.
Fortunately, Vicente enjoyed what he did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Vicente worked diligently and did his best to succeed in his career. His primary occupation was working in maintenance. He was employed for Hunter Farms in High Point, North Carolina for ten years. Vicente always sought to be a team player, doing what was necessary in order to get the job done.
Vicente enjoyed his leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. His favorite pursuits were hunting, fishing, football, baseball and Nascar. He was content to enjoy his favorite pastimes alone, but was also willing to share his interests with others.
Vicente found pleasure in sports. In high school, he played baseball. Vicente was also something of a sports fan and enjoyed following his favorite events whenever he had the chance to do so.
Vicente enjoyed traveling and time away on vacation. It was a chance for him to renew and relax, to visit new places and experience new things. Favorite vacations included back home to Chicago and to the beach.
Vicente passed away on March 31, 2012 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. He is survived by his children, Armani Ruiz and Kristina Ruiz; parents, Luis Ruiz and Florina Ruacho; brothers, Ramon Acuna, Luis Ruiz, Miguel Ruiz and Sofio Ruiz; sisters, Rita Rhodes nee Acuna, Belem Ruiz, Veronica Ruiz, Solagne Sanders nee Acero, and Betania Ruiz.
The family will receive friends on Friday, April 6, 2012 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Thomasville Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 7th, at 2:00 p.m. in the Thomasville Funeral Home Chapel.
Simply stated, Vicente was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by his family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Vicente leaves behind him a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories.
