Doris P Mccauley

McCauley, Doris “Dot” P. age 86 of Winter Haven passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2013. She graduated from Shades Cahaba High School and then went on to Birmingham Southern College. She finished up at the University of Montevallo with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. Doris was an Elementary Teacher for many years and retired from the Dade County Public School System in Florida. She enjoyed crocheting, crafting, cooking, spending time with her family and her beloved kitties, Misty and Tabitha. She was preceded in death by her loving husband A.V. “Mac” McCauley, her daughter Dixie Murray, her parents Herbert Lee and Clara Franke Pool, her brothers Dr. John Paul Pool and Herbert F. “Jack” Pool. She is survived by her grandchildren Betsy Sarginson of Tampa, FL and Dan Murray of Land O Lakes, FL and Maria Murray of Land O Lakes, FL; great grandchildren Sara, Lauren, Austin, Tristan and Ian; son-in-law Jerry Murray of Lutz, FL; sister-in-law Ann Pool; nephew George Pool; nieces Margaret Pool and Rebecca Gilbert; and many treasured friends and family. Visitation will be Friday, March 29, 2013 from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. followed by the service at Sunset Funeral Home and graveside service at Garden of Memories in Tampa, FL.
