Brian passed away with his family by his side after a courageous battle with cancer at Oak Ridges Hospice, Port Perry. He is survived by his wife Betty Jane Coles of 56 years and his daughter Amanda Leeming (Craig). He has rejoined his son Sean Coles in eternal life. He is also survived by Sean’s wife Elaine Coles, his grandchildren Chelsea Leeming, Cullen Leeming, Joshua Leeming, Liam Coles, Matthew Walker (Samantha), Megan Walker (Wesley), his brother Glenn Coles (Susan), and his sister-in-law Mary Lynn Goodden.
He has also rejoined in eternal life with his mother Allison Coles, his father Frederick Robert Coles, his father-in-law Leonard Goodden, his mother-in-law Ida Goodden, and his sister-in-law Penny Boland.
He will be forever remembered as a man of true strength, integrity, and love, a dedicated firefighter and hockey referee, a loving husband, a devoted father and grandfather, and a loyal friend to all who knew him. He will be forever missed by all.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to all who cared for Brian throughout his cancer journey, including a special thank you to Oak Ridges Hospice and the amazing staff there who took such wonderful care of Brian and his family in his last days and hours.

A Visitation for Brian will be held at Kane-Jerrett Funeral Homes - Thornhill (8088 Yonge St, Thornhill) on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 from 1-3pm & 5-7pm.
A Funeral Service for Brian will be held at Kane-Jerrett Funeral Homes - Thornhill (8088 Yonge St, Thornhill) on Thursday, February 20, 2025 at 12pm. Reception to follow at Kane-Jerrett Funeral Homes.
