Alan Thomas Walsh

Passed away on Thursday, November 25, 2010.

Loving husband for sixty years of Joan (nee Sullivan). Beloved father of Susan (Peter McPhedran), Patti (David Forster) and Marc (Marianne). Proud Grandad of Neil, Kevin, Alison; Paul, Caroline; Rocco and Anthony. Survived by his sister Mary Mademann of South Carolina. Born to parents Joseph Henry Walsh and Lea Huard in Haileybury, ON. A proud chartered accountant and planner, Alan enjoyed a successful career of over thirty years with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. Alan was the first lay chairman of Blessed Trinity Parish, Toronto; past chairman of the Canadian Council of Christians and Jews. After retirement Alan enjoyed his family, travel, skiing and was involved in community service.

Friends may call on Sunday, November 28, 2010 from 2 - 5 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Mass will be held at Blessed Trinity Roman Catholic Church (3220 Bayview Avenue) on Monday, November 29, 2010 at 10:30 a.m..
