It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, Aldo “Dosh” Buffon. A father and friend to many, especially to those he lovingly called his “kids,” Dosh passed away in his own way, with both Dino and Nerina by his side, in the late hours of October 18, 2025. Born on July 19, 1937 in Latisanata Italy, survived by his wife, Vincenza, “Jenny” Buffon, and children, Nerina, Dino (Christina) and Alberto LaRocca (Mirella), and his grandchildren, Kristina, (Bessam), and Christopher.
Aldo was a generous, kind man who worked tirelessly as a plasterer for many years, often doing work for friends and family. An avid sports fan passionate about every sport, he never missed an Italian soccer game on the Tele Latino channel nor a Toronto Maple Leafs game. As a devoted father, fan, and coach to many, Aldo always seized any opportunity to watch sports live—whether it was soccer, hockey, or even team Italy curling!
Visitation and a service will be held on Friday October 24, 2025, at 12pm at Jerrett Kane Funeral Home, in Thornhill. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Sick Kids Hospital. Aldo will be deeply missed and will be forever on our soccer fields, and in our hearts.
