Aston Roy Young

With great sadness the family of Aston Roy Young announces his peaceful passing on Tuesday, May 3, 2016, just short of his 91st birthday. Known to many as Roy, predeceased by his wife Joan (Vie), he will be missed and fondly remembered by his children Roy (Sjanna), Clayton (Maria) and Donna (deceased); devoted Grandad of Courtney (Tom Mayer), Scott, Michelle and Sean. Also survived by his siblings Fay, Joyce, Alvin (Peggy), Maisie (Larry) and Donnie (deceased) and his many nieces and nephews. Very special thanks to the staff of Willows Estate Long Term Care Home, Aurora and Dr. Michael Dawson for the extraordinary and loving care they provided in his final years. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 8th from 5-8 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge Street (at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, May 9th at 11 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of the World Church, 10411 Bayview Avenue, Richmond Hill, ON. Interment at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.
