Passed away peacefully on July 28, 2014 at age 88. Beloved husband of Jean of 62 years. Loving father of Lynne (Michael Hayes) and Terry (Bill Fender). Proud Granddad of Nicole (Rob), Brendan (Irina), Danielle and Hilary and Great-Granddad of Layla. Ben and Jean emigrated to Canada from England in 1953. Ben founded Jeamar Winches which he ran in Richmond Hill until retirement at age 75. Many thanks to his caregiver Daphne and to the staff at Bayview Extendicare for their kind and loving care. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Ben's Life will beheld at the R. S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge Street, on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 from 6-9pm. As an expression of sympathy donations to the Sickids Foundation or the Heart & Stoke Foundation would be appreciated.
