Berta Stuber

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Berta Stuber. In her 97th year, Berta left peacefully on Dec. 29th in Port Perry Ontario. Predeceased by her husband Johann Stuber, Berta is survived by her daughter Luise Suchy (Anton), son Klaus Stuber (Gail), grandchildren Robert Suchy (Kimberly), Rosemary Osztertag (Steve), Anthony Suchy (Darlene), John Stuber (Jenn), Sonja Stuber (Mark), Nicole Stuber and great grandchildren Nichole, Matthew, Christopher, Michael, Khyle, Mark, Katerina, Victoria, Jordan and Oliver. Berta is lovingly remembered by her family and friends.

Born in 1921 in Brestowatz Yugoslavia, Berta later immigrated to Canada with her husband and two children via Germany. They settled in Toronto where they lived for many years until moving to Richmond Hill. Berta and Johann’s greatest loves were their family and spending time at the cottage with family and friends. One of Berta’s greatest passions was also her extensive garden from flowers to vegetables, she enjoyed her garden at both home and the cottage. Having lived independently until the age of 95, Berta moved in 2017 to Port Perry to live with her daughter and son-in-law. In the fall of 2018 she moved into Port Perry Place Long Term Care. The family would like to thank the staff at Port Perry Place for the loving care and comfort that Berta received.
