Comforted by his family, Bo passed away peacefully on April 21, 2009 at Markhaven Home for Seniors in his 88th year. Beloved husband of Helen for 59 years. Loving father of Ginny (Ian), Sharon (Bryan), and Paul (Stephanie). Dear grandfather of John, Patrick, Evan, and Brodie. He will be missed by all including his treasured brother Peter. Fondly remembered as "Bashe" to his baseball buddies, Bo was also passionate about his involvement with the Escoffier Society and his support of young chefs. When not cooking, Bo would be found in the garden tending his perfectly trimmed hedges. Friends may call on Saturday, April 25, 2009 from 5-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, April 26, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel. Private cremation. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made in lieu of flowers to the Markhaven Home for Senio and the Alzheimer's Society.
