My heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Peter Barnaba. May the Lord give you all the strength that is needed at this unfortunate time. The first time I heard the news that someone had jumped in the Humber River to save his dog but drowned instead, I didn’t know who it was at the time. I thought that this man loved his dog so much that he jumped into a river and not thinking twice about his own life but only to save his dog; what a heart! I prayed and hoped that someone would find him alive but then I heard the sad news; his dead body was found. One of my friends told me that the guy who had drowned is the son of one of her friends and he was working in a salon on Danforth Avenue. She didn’t say which salon but after putting down the phone with her I remembered that I knew a guy named Peter who once or twice did my hair at a salon on Danforth Avenue. I called the salon and asked one of the workers if she heard Peter had died and she said no. I asked, was Peter’s last name Barnaba? She said, oh yes Peter, she then asked how he died and I told her. I then knew it was the same Peter that did my hair. I'm truly saddened to hear that it was Peter whom I had known a couple years ago. Peter made everyone felt relaxed and comfortable while he did their hair. He would always say things to make you laugh or smile; he was a very sweet guy. Many people may want to know why did he jumped into the river after his dog. I can tell you that when you do have a pet, it’s like your child. If your child fell into a river you’ll jump in without a second thought and try to save your child; it’s just plain and simple "love". In times as such you don’t think about yourself and the dangers ahead; you just act quickly. If there were more people like Peter, this world would be a much better place; may God bless his soul. Anyone who ill-treats their animals please think about Peter and treat your animals well so that Peter’s life did not go in vain. This isn't much to ask and thank you all. I never thought that I would be writing this today. I knew Peter very little but I think that he was a wonderful person. Peter, it’s very sad and unfortunate that your precious life has ended this way. I would like to say goodbye to you as you rest in peace in the Loving Arms Of The Lord. God bless you my dear. R.I.P.

i cannot express enough how sorry i fill that PETERS life ended so tragically and that he is taken from us so soon. may his soul rest in peace and our prayers are with him and his family.

I send my sinsear condolences to all of Peter's family and friends. I will truly miss you Peter. You never had a chase to really live yet. I would have loved to see you experience a variety of things to do, places to see.You had so much to learn.
