Carole passed peacefully at her home with family by her side, on May 23, 2025. Adored wife of the late Len Campeis for 55 years, beloved mother of Lisa (Eric Milligan), Dina, Dana and Alex (Sol Guzman), and cherished Nana of Patrick and Ben Milligan. She is also survived by her brother John McDowell (Gail) and his daughter Cathy Nicholson.
Carole is pre-deceased by her siblings Joan McDowell and Linda Guthery (Jimmy).
Carole will be remembered as a loving mother who was devoted to family and loved every moment she spent with them. In her later years she became a stock market guru and was still deeply interested in the markets, trading and making notes right up to her last days. She spent her many years of retirement in Ajijic, Mexico and no one will ever forget her love of dancing with Len and her fantastic cooking abilities.
The family would like to express deep thanks to the nurses at St. Elizabeth Health and the personal support workers at Paramed Home Healthcare for their compassionate care.
Visitation will be held Friday May 30 from 6-8pm at the Kane-Jerrett funeral home – 8088 Yonge St.
Funeral services will take place Saturday May 31 at 11:30am at the Kane-Jerrett funeral home, followed by a burial at Holy Cross Cemetery.
