It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Charles "Charlie" Williamson, after a short illness., on Saturday December 31, 2005. Formerly a longtime (29 years) employee of Sangamo in Leaside, he changed careers mid life to continue employment with the North York Board of Education, until retirement age. He was active for many years in the Thornhill Horticultural Society. Charlie was blessed with a healthy and happy life and will be missed by many, in particular his wife Jean of 61 years, his son Jim, His daughter Ellen, son-in-law Mike Parise, grandchildren Jean-Paul, and Michelle. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2006 at 1 p.m. in the Chapel at the R. S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles), with visitation from 12 p.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. If desired, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
