I am so deeply saddened to hear about Chris’s passing. Sending strength and comfort in this difficult time.

Chris and I were close friends during our high school years; part of a group that spent so many days and nights together—hanging out, laughing, and spending time in Milne Conservation (or somebody's basement depending on the weather). Although those moments felt so simple at the time, they’ve stayed with me all these years and I think back to them often and smile.

Even though life took us in different directions and we lost touch, I have never forgotten Chris or the friendship that we shared. Knowing that he became a firefighter says so much about the kind of person he was—brave, selfless, and always willing to put others before himself. The world has lost someone truly special far too soon.

My heart goes out to his family, his friends, and everyone who loved him. Those memories will always hold a special place in my heart.

Dear Paul, Irene and Victoria, 
When I learned of Chris last week, I was overcome with sadness.  Its been years since I've seen him but he'll forever be in a special place of my heart. No words can express the sorrow I feel and how I wish I could hold you all in your profound sadness. 
I want to share some dear memories that I have because of Chris. When I first really came into his circle of friends, I was the new girl to the circle and a gf of one of his buddies. He always made sure that I wasnt left out. He always included me in the group. He cared enough to come to my baby shower and he cared to come to the hospital the morning my son was born. I can still remember his laugh, all these years later. His welcoming and kind nature will never be forgotten, it will be cherished forever. I'm thankful for all the times spent in his company. Chris was a good friend.

I was so sorry to hear this news. It’s been a long time since I saw Chris as I’m no longer in Toronto, but we played rugby together back in high school and he was always such a great guy. It always impressed me when he’d show me the progress on his renovations or other projects, and I always respected his passion and dedication to becoming a firefighter.  I can’t imagine what this day must be like for both of you, but I wanted to send my condolences for your loss.

My deepest condolences to the Love family on the unexpected loss of my friend and brother Chris.

Chris and I were childhood friends in elementary who would sit together until the teacher inevitably separated us for having too much fun.

Most infamously, we leveled an account full of Diablo 2: LOD characters to 99, which took thousands of hours between us. We were some of the best in the world and a big force to be reckoned with.

We shared many good times, life experiences, and laughs both in school and after hours. He was a good and loyal friend who always had my back and stood up for me into our high school years. I remember him fondly and he will be deeply missed. I am sorry for your loss. May God ease your sorrow.

Chris, you brought strength and warmth that made a difference in so many lives, including mine.  I'll always carry that with me.  You will always hold a special place in my heart, neighbor.
