Dear friends and colleagues of Claudio Naranjo We want to thank you all for the wonderful messages of support, respect and remembrance you have shared with us. We mark his passing every 24th of the month, and treasure our memories. We miss him dearly. Claudio, Papa, Grandpa, Husband, Brother, Friend, We love and remember you. We miss your great and witty sense of humour, your phenomenal, intellectual curiosity, your courage, wisdom and joy for life. You are always in our thoughts, though we carry on with life, as you would have wanted us to, you are always near.

My heartfelt condolences for Claudio's family. I will treasure the memory of him as a distinguished scientist, a cordial colleague, and a true gentleman.

To the family and friends of Claudio - please accept my condolences. Claudio was a colleague, mentor and friend as well as a scholar and a gentleman. I have positive memories from our time together at the Addiction Research Foundation as well as occasional meetings since. He is now in a better place.

My Condolences to Claudio's family and closest friends. I hope that the pain of this loss is lessened in some small way by knowing that he will continue to live not only in your hearts but in the learning and practice of so many investigators, clinicians and students who had the privilege to work with him over the years.

I am deeply saddened by Claudio's passing. He had a brilliant mind. He was a true gentleman. It was a pleasure and honor to have met such a remarkable individual. Please accept my condolences.

I want to join others in extending my sincere condolences to Claudio's family and friends. When I was a young researcher, long before the creation of CAMH, Claudio was an enthusiastic collaborator in the exploration of the co-occurrence of mental illnesses and substance use disorders, and his willingness to work together and to mentor were deeply appreciated and forever remembered.

I have fond memories of Claudio from Sunnybrook. Although I did not work closely with him, I had great respect for the innovative work he was doing in psychopharmacology and the impact it was having in geriatric psychiatry in particular. He was a gracious, friendly and artistic man who will be fondly remembered. My deepest condolences to his family.

Dear Cecelia, Paulina, Cristina, Claudio and family, I am so sorry to hear of your dad's passing. We worked many years together at Sunnybrook. Your father was such a warm, kind, and cultured person and always had something interesting to say. My heart goes out to you during this difficult time.

My deepest condolences to Claudio's family. I am forever grateful to Claudio for helping to make our Department of Psychiatry at Sunnybrook a leading academic centre in Psychopharmacology of late life. His enthusiasm and expertise attracted many wonderful students who went on to establish their own academic careers. He was a mentor to many talented trainees and will be remembered fondly and with great respect.

It was with great sadness that I learned of Claudio's passing. I consider him to have been a mentor and colleague who taught me a tremendous amount about pharmacology and how to run a clinical lab. I have missed our daily chats about travel, literature and the intracies of fuzzy logic and Bayesian analyses. May the family know no further sorrow.
