Passed away peacefully at home on April 14, 2009, at the age of 44. Sons Andrew Robinson and Adon Fraser, mother Donna, father Christopher (deceased), sisters Marie, Patricia and Karen, many friends and extended family are the richer for his love & caring.
"In Colin's ten + years of coaching hockey, he judged his success based on the smiles on kids faces. His focus was to motivate kids to compete every shift, while winning and losing with class and sportsmanship. Colin's love for hockey was only surpassed by his love for his sons, Adon and Andrew, and for life."
Friends hold special memories of years camping, cottaging, great meals and parties: "He could make you get up and boogie to your pleasure! Colin brought good cheer to many, going out of his way to make everyone happy and comfortable." Family and friends found much comfort in his final days by swapping stories and memories, renewing old connections and making new friendships.
Colin took great joy in working along side his Uncle Bruce (deceased), Aunt Pat, and Cousins Andrew and Cameron at R&R Yacht Insurance. His warmth, enthusiasm and positive spirit will be greatly missed by co-workers, clients & industry colleagues alike.
Heartfelt thanks to Maureen Daniels, Dr. Mason and staff of the Pencer Brain Tumour Centre; Dr. Bernstein and staff of Toronto Western Hospital; Vivian Maxwell, Fai Lo and staff of Shoppers Drug Mart; Monika Lehman of BCI; the palliative care team of Heather Taylor, Dr. Kaplan and Alex Bodik; and the Regional Nursing team and WeCare Home Health Services that provided in-home care during Colin's final days.
Friends may call on Sunday, April 19, 2009 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge St., at Goulding, south of Steeles) for visitation.
