Constable Marc Pinizzotto

24 September, 1982 – 11 June, 2026
IN THE CARE OF

Kane-Jerrett Funeral Homes

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Toronto Police Constable and Emergency Task Force member Marc Pinizzotto, who died in the line of duty on Thursday, June 11, 2026.

Marc was the beloved husband of Andrea and the devoted father of Domenic and Daniella. He will also be dearly missed by his father, Leo Pinizzotto; his mother, Linda Pinizzotto, and her husband, Derrick. Marc will be equally missed by his father-in-law, Tony; as well as his mother-in-law, Deanna, and her husband, Jim.

Marc was the adored brother of Jason, his wife Carol, and their children, Haley and Henley; and Steven, his wife Meaghan, and their children, Kamryn and Crew. He was also a treasured brother-in-law to Aaron, his wife Jennifer, and their children, Avery, Andersynn, and Alex; and Carrie, her husband Johnny, and their children, Alden, Aaron, Ayvan, and Aspen. Marc will also be deeply missed by his loyal four-legged companion, Mia.

Marc’s passion for sports extended far beyond his playing days. He gave generously of his time as a coach and mentor, leaving a lasting impact on countless young athletes. His dedication to family, community, and service will always be remembered. His legacy of courage, commitment, and compassion will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Marc was part of an incredibly close-knit family of Emergency Task Force (ETF) officers. Though he is no longer with us, he will always be part of Team 2. His loss is deeply felt not only by his fellow TPS ETF officers, but also by the entire policing community and the extended family of emergency services personnel—across Toronto, throughout Canada, and in the United States. Police services on both sides of the border, alongside firefighters, paramedics, dispatchers, and all first responders, mourn with his loved ones, having lost not just a colleague, but a brother.

Marc’s dedication to service and his unwavering commitment to protecting others built bonds that extend beyond agencies, provinces, and nations. His sacrifice will never be forgotten, and his memory will continue to stand as a source of strength, pride, and inspiration for police officers and first responders across Canada and the United States.

A donation to Fund the First would be a meaningful way to honour Marc's life and legacy.
