Rita Joyce Cynthia Richards passed away in Thornhill, Ontario, Canada on the morning of 22 October, 2022 at the age of 98. Widow of Rupert, she will be lovingly remembered by her children, Patricia, Cheryl (Robin) and Louis “Bill” (Derrice). She was a proud and loving grandmummy to Andrew (Holly), Robert (Amanda), Kyla (Michael) and Nicholas and cherished “GG” to Liam, Bennett, Clara, Mac, Nate, Casey, Cole (dec’d), Hazel, Rosalyn and Fletcher. A special thank you to her caregiver, Anita Rosales and primary physician, Dr. Susan Ngo.
Eldest child of the late Louis Jay and Ellen Williams.
Preceded in death by siblings Joan Sue-A-Quan, Ronald, Jeanne and Arthur.
Survived by siblings Michael, Funglan Persimmon, Patrick, Frances Williams - Lee and Lesley Anne Lie.
Aunt of many. Relative of the Lai-Fook and Huggins-Chan families.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 from 5-8pm at the Kane-Jerrett Funeral Home Thornhill, 8088 Yonge Street, Thornhill (south of 407 on west side) and on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 from 9:30am until time of Funeral Mass at 10:30am at Blessed Trinity Roman Catholic Church, 3220 Bayview Avenue (north of Finch, west side).
