David John McGinn

David John McGinn passed peacefully at the Lakeshore Lodge Care home on February 23, 2021. He is survived by his daughter, Sara McGinn (husband Jeremy Pearson). He is also survived by siblings Eileen, Allan and Douglas.

David rejoins, in eternal life, his loving wife Lise McGinn, his sister Carolyn Mae McGinn and his parents Gwendolyn Beard and Lawrence McGinn.

David will be remembered as a devoted father who loved to spend time with his family. His favorite pastimes included playing cards and matching wits in Scrabble and Trivial Pursuit. His incredible knowledge of numerous subjects, quick wit, and sense of humour will never be forgotten. These talents were matched only by the size of his heart with which he constantly expressed his love and devotion to his friends and family.

David is remembered fondly as a teacher at Glenview Senior Public School. In his free time, he loved coaching student sports as well as directing various school plays.

The family would like to express deep gratitude to the staff at Lakeshore Lodge care facility for their continued compassionate care.
