It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of an extraordinary woman who left us with a legacy of beautiful memories. Deirdre Elizabeth Liversidge passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving husband and children on Thursday, July 30, 2026, in Richmond Hill, Ontario.
Loving wife to George S. Liversidge for 64 wonderful years.
Dear mother to Michael (wife Heather) and Tonya (fiancé Lee)
Deirdre was born on December 2, 1938, in Luanshya, Zambia (formerly Northern Rhodesia) to the late Eric and Margaret Rodgers.
Deirdre led a life filled with gratitude, courage, kindness, generosity and above all love. She will be cherished forever in our hearts, deeply missed and forever loved.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at Kane-Jerrett Funeral Home, 8088 Yonge St, Thornhill from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Luke's Parish, 39 Green Lane, Thornhill, Ontario, at 11am., on Thursday, August 13, 2026. We ask that all who wish to attend arrive no later than 10:30 am. Family and friends are invited to gather afterward for a reception in St Lukes Parish hall. In lieu of flowers the family asks you to consider a donation in Deirdre’s memory to the St. Luke’s Parish.
