Passed away suddenly on Thursday, August 28, 2008 at the age of 60. Beloved husband and best friend of Shirley. Devoted father of Susan (Henry) and Derek James (Andrea). Loving grandfather of Alexandra, Nicole, Jack and Audrey. Dear brother of Margo and caring uncle of Joe and Adam. Derek was an avid sailer, golfer, true lover of life and a friend to many. A Memorial Service will be held at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles) on Friday, September 5, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel.
