October 25th, 1958 – October 31st, 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Diane Heather Braid-Noble, who passed away peacefully on the morning of October 31st, 2025, at Toronto General Hospital, surrounded by her family.
She is survived by her loving husband, Tom; her children, Devon (Rolla), Heather (Nicholaus), and Shannon (Candice); and her cherished grandson, Thomas. Diane will also be fondly missed by her four-legged grand-puppies, Morty, Hunter, and Ellie.
She is also survived by her mother, Heather Braid; her sister, Pamela Braid-Watkins (Tony); and her brother, Michael Braid (Janet); her father, George Braid, predeceased Diane.
Born in Dundee, Scotland, Diane remained a proud Scot throughout her life, even as she built her home and raised her family in Canada.
Diane lived her life to the fullest. Small but mighty, with an extraordinary ability to make everyone feel important and loved. She gave generously, listened deeply, and searched endlessly for the perfect gifts. She was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 8th, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. (arrivals start at 11:00 am) at Kane-Jarrett Funeral Home (8088 Yonge St, Thornhill, ON L4J 6W6), with a reception to follow.
The family wishes to thank the team at Princess Margaret Hospital for their support and care over the years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation for Lung Cancer Research.
