Elizabeth Joy Terzo

Elizabeth was predeceased by her loving parents, Rhoda and Walter Melinyshyn. She is survived by her beloved daughters, Emily (Jordan) and Hannah, and her cherished grandchildren, Mateo and Joey. She is also lovingly remembered by her aunt, Eleanor (Nel) Carpen, and her siblings, Matthew, Leigh, and Michael.

Elizabeth was an intelligent, accomplished, and hardworking woman who dedicated much of her life to education, science, and helping others. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology and a Diploma of Education from McGill University, completed further studies in Biology at the University of Toronto, and later graduated from the Paralegal Program at triOS College with the highest academic achievement in her program. Throughout her career, she taught mathematics and science both in Canada and internationally in Seoul, South Korea, contributed to published neurological research at Montreal General Hospital, and worked in the legal field, specializing in family law and estate matters. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Elizabeth was actively involved in her communities through teaching, coaching, volunteering, and encouraging young women to pursue opportunities in science and mathematics. She was a woman of many talents, whose determination, knowledge, and willingness to continually learn were evident throughout her life.

Above all, Elizabeth held a strong faith in God and Jesus Christ. Her faith remained an important part of her life as she continued striving to grow and become a better version of herself, not only for her own well-being but for the children and grandchildren she loved so dearly. She will be remembered for her strength, perseverance, intelligence, and the love she carried for her family. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
