Emily Eve Deane

At Sunnybrook Hospital on Wednesday, August 13, 2008 in her 98th year. Pre-deceased by her husband Anthony (1968). Loving mother of Pat Everson, Thomas (Angela), Ray (Lynn), Diane (Willi Jahr) and Doreen (Wes Lane). Cherished grandmother of Maura Reilly (Steve); Chris (Lena) Reilly; Brad (Lina) and Nicole Deane; Philip, Andrew, Katie Deane; Rainer and Konrad Jahr; and, Kyle, Tyler and Ryan Lane. Dear great grandmother of Kelly Jones, Colin and Maeghan Reilly. Also survived by her sister Tessie Whelan.

Her kind and gentle spirit will be sadly missed by those who knew her and loved her, especially her devoted friend Dorothy Murphy and nephew David Whelan. Emily always had a special place in her heart for Father Edward Murphy and Timothy. She was an active life-long member of the Catholic Women's League at St. Edward's Church. Visitation, on Friday, August 15, from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles, North York). Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Edward the Confessor Roman Catholic Church (75 Churchill Avenue, North York), on Saturday, August 16, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.
