

Born on the beautiful island of Crete, Eva had a deep love for her homeland, its rich culture, and the cherished memories of her beloved father, Father Kyriakos Katsandonis. Her connection to Crete remained strong throughout her life, and she spoke often of the island's beauty and traditions.
Eva was predeceased by her husband Panayiotis Elefteriadis. She is survived by, and was the proud mother of her son Emile and his wife Anna, and a loving grandmother to her adored grandchildren, Peter and Vanessa. She is also survived by her dear sister Katina, her nephew Bill, and her niece Effie, all of whom held a special place in her heart.
With a passion for teaching, Eva dedicated many years to teaching the Greek language through the Greek Community of Toronto’s Heritage Language Program with dedication, leaving a lasting impact on her students.
Eva will be deeply missed by her many friends, who were like family to her. Her warmth and ever-present smile made her the social heart of many gatherings. She had a sharp wit and a contagious laugh that brought joy to those around her.
Visitation will take place on Friday, January 24, 2025 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at the Kane-Jerrett Funeral Home located at 8088 Yonge Street, Thornhill. Father Haridimos will conduct the Trisagion prayer at approximately 6:30 pm.
Funeral Mass will be held at All Saints Greek Orthodox Church on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 10:00 am. Eva will be laid to rest at York Cemetery.
