Passed away with his family by his side on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at his home. Beloved husband of Pat for 41 years. Loving father of Stephen (Penny) and Tim. Cherished grandfather of Thomas. Caring son-in-law of Pauline and the late Peter Welyki. Bill will be fondly remembered by Dr. Ross Johnston and many other family members. He was a devoted and beloved Teacher and summer school Vice-Principal with the TDSB before his retirement in 2001. Friends may call on Sunday, September 12, 2010 from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, September 13, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel. Interment to follow at Pine Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Canadian Cancer Society or Heart & Stroke Foundation.
