I too have fond memories of Garo when we worked together at the Star. My sincerest condolences to the family, especially Garo's Mom and sisters. Garo was a wonderful person, and he will be missed. Rest in peace dear friend.

I am extremely saddened to hear about Garo's passing. My deepest condolences to his family, friends and colleagues. I had the pleasure of working with Garo at the Toronto Star. He was extremely committed to his clients and colleagues. Garo was always willing to lend a helping hand and support those that he worked with. I learned a great deal from him during the time that we worked together.  He truly had a heart of gold and will be missed by many.  I am grateful that I had the chance to know Garo as he made a difference in my life. May he rest in peace.

To Garo's family, please accept my most heartfelt condolences on the loss of Garo. I am heartbroken with you by this news.

Garo gave me a gift once of a clock. Not just a clock, it is a woman's high heel shoe with the clock in the crutch of the high heel (about the size of my hand). My daughter Desi has taken it from me and displayed it in her room, typical 13 year old. I'm sure Garo is laughing about that one right now. 
I feel like time stood still when I heard this news. 

Sadly, he is gone way too early and this tragedy has shocked us all. How to describe the special nature of Garo, kind, sweet, considerate, he was a darling man and there is no one like him, truly one of a kind! I think those who read this will agree, if you were a friend of Garo's, he made you feel like you were his best friend, I certainly felt that way.

My sincere sympathies and condolences to Garo's family and friends. I am so shocked and saddened by his passing. I worked with Garo at  The Toronto Star and respected him for his intelligence and work ethic and liked him for his warmth, sense of humour, sweetness and genuine giving and thoughtful nature. He  was truly special and unique and I'm privileged to have known him. I hope your many happy memories will bring you comfort and that you feel his loving spirit around you always.

I extend my deepest sympathies to Nora and her family for such a great loss.  Nora, you always spoke so beautifully about your little brother and with a lot of love.  I pray that you and your family find the strength to bear the pain during this sad time.

I'm so very shocked and saddened. Garo was a memorable fellow; one of a kind. My deepest sympathy to his family.

I'm very saddened to hear about Garo's passing.  I worked with Garo at the Toronto Star for years and I considered him a great friend.  We had many good conversations.  Garo was one of the kindest persons that I ever met and he had such a big heart.  I'm lucky to have some gifts around my house that Garo would bring to me after one of his trips. I will always think of Garo and will never forget him.  When I think about Garo, I can see his wonderful smile.  What a guy!  Always in my heart Garo - heaven will love you too because they have another angel!  Myra x0x   

My condolences go out to Garo's family and friends. I worked with Garo at the Star many years ago. He had a heart of gold. He always made everyone feel special never forgetting their birthday or never forgetting them during a holiday. He will be missed by so many. It was so heart breaking to hear about the loss of one of the kindest people who I ever had the pleasure of working with at the Toronto Star. Garo was one of my favorite people. I admired his work ethic and his sales ability. His help to advertisers was superb and he received many kudos of appreciation from clients. They loved him! Garo was one of a kind, a gentleman, humble and knew the value of humour. You would count yourself lucky if he considered you a friend because he valued those relationships. He was thoughtful, generous and smart. His whole face lite up when he smiled. I am so glad that I got to know him. My heartfelt condolences to your family. I knew Garo for many years of working with him at The Toronto Star. He was a kind, humble man of great faith. After we all left the Star, Garo and I kept in contact and met for dinner a couple of times a year at Canyon Creek. Just as recently as 3 weeks ago.  I still can't believe he is gone so suddenly.  Heaven just got another angel. May God give you strength in the coming days. 


I am heartbroken. Garo was truly a wonderful human being. My condolences to his family and friends.
