Gela Zubiashvili, age 57, passed away peacefully at home in Toronto, in his sleep, on January 31, 2017. He was born in Tbilisi, Georgia, on July 26, 1959. Gela and his family left Georgia in 1993 and lived in Cyprus until late 1999. He brought his family back to Georgia for half a year before moving to Canada in 2000. During the two immigrations, Gela remained very patriotic to his nationality and origins, and constantly travelled back to Georgia. In all three countries, he was loved and respected by Georgian, Russian and local communities. He was a hardworking and caring man and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
