Our dearest Gordana passed away peacefully, on June 13th, 2009, while on vacation, in Belgrade, Serbia. Gordana, beloved wife of the late Bozidar (Boshko), celebrated her 87th birthday in May. Gordana was an esthetician extraordinaire, a world traveler, a war hero and a kind, caring, generous woman. Gordana lived in Yugoslavia, Addis Ababa and finally moved to Canada after the communists took over Ethiopia. She loved animals, fresh cut flowers and her work. Even though in poor health she continued working until the end. She often said that she came alive when giving facials and that made her feel much better. Her wish was to pass away in her sleep just like her mother and that wish was granted. Gordana, our "sweet heart" is survived by the love she gave. A memorial service will be held on Saturday July 11th, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. at Kane's Funeral Home located at 6150 Yonge Street. Interment to follow at York Cemetery where her remains will be buried with her beloved Boshko. Gordana would appreciate flowers.
