With great sadness the Walkinshaw family announces the sudden but peaceful passing of Gord, age 67, at his home Sunday, September 11, 2016. Loving and devoted father of Jessica and Robert and dear heart of former wife Pamela. Beloved son of Joyce and Gordon (deceased), brother George (Shirley), sister Laura (Andrew), uncle to Cory, Becky and their families. Alumnus of the University of Guelph Horticulture program. Very proud and respected Supervisor of Parks for the City of Toronto for many years. Gord will be fondly remembered by many friends and colleagues. A fiercely loyal friend, true gentleman and the last of the romantics. Visitation will be held at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge St., North York) on Saturday, September 17th from 4 to 7 p.m. A Service will be held on Sunday, September 18th at 2 p.m. in the Chapel.
