Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Sunday, June 16, 2013 at Mackenzie Health Richmond Hill at the age of 87. Beloved husband of Else for 63 years. Loving Dad of Herb and Brigitte (Tony Peron). Cherished Opa to his 8 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Survived by his brother Karl and sister Lore in Germany. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 19th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 20th at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel. Interment to follow at Bethesda Lutheran Cemetery, Markham. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First Evangelical Lutheran Church or Mackenzie Health Centre ICU.
