Peacefully at home, with his family by his side, on Sunday, September 14, 2008. Beloved husband for 64 years of Ruth (nee MacPherson). Loving father of children Jayne (Bob Elliott), Ken, Doug (Laurie), and Kathryn. Grandfather of Mathew Brown, and Adam (Sarah) and Kinnon Elliott. Dear brother of Ruby. Predeceased by sisters Eunice, Alberta, and Lorayne and by brother Alvin. Will be sadly missed by his sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, his many nieces and nephews, and his friends. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 17 from 6-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 18 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel. Private urn burial at a later date. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Lansing Church Memorial Fund, 49 Bogart Ave., Toronto, M2N 1K4, or to a chairty of your choice.
