
Isaac Pfaff, Humanitarian, author, educator, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 4, 2005, in the early morning hours with his beloved wife Juanita at his side. Isaac was a dear father to Desiree (Valdur Paul) and Howard (Caroline) and devoted grandfather, role-model and unconditional supporter to Valia, Karl (Kelly), Ilja and Adrian. He is survived by his brothers: John, Dennis (Joan), Cyril (Marge), Oscar (Nan), Neville (Fran) and many loved nephews and nieces. Retired Drama, English and History teacher (York Region-Thornhill Secondary School), above all , Isaac was a humanitarian who fought for justice and peace for all of his brothers and sisters, starting in his native South Africa, and throughout the world. He was an active member of the Oriole-York Mills United Church. Public visitation is at R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles) on Monday, February 7 from 3 to 5 pm (Family: 6:30 to 8:30 pm). The Funeral Service is on Tuesday, February 8 at Oriole-York Mills United Church (2609 Bayview Ave. at 1 pm. Interment York Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy can be made through flowers or donations on behalf of Isaac to Amnesty International Canada.
