Ivano Bortolussi

Surrounded by his family, Ivano Bortolussi passed peacefully on December 25th at North York General Hospital after a recent diagnosis of cancer. Ivano was in his 90th year and was married for 62 years to his loving wife Mary. He will be greatly missed by his children Gerry with Catherine; Elaine with Joe and his granddaughter Emma. Ivano is survived by one sister Angela Cassin of Pordenone, Italy and many nieces and nephews. Ivano lived a full life devoted to family and friends. He enjoyed whatever he was doing be it his marble & tile business, gardening, raising canaries, the Gruppo Età d'Oro activities at the Famѐe Furlane, and winters in Florida. He is resting at R.S. Kane Funeral Home at 6150 Yonge Street (Goulding, south of Steeles). Visitation will be held on Saturday December 28th from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday December 29th 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. A mass of Christian burial will take place Monday December 30th at 10:30 a.m. at St Paschal Baylon Church at 92 Steeles Ave West, Thornhill ON. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to North York General Foundation or the Villa Leonardo Gambin Charity would be appreciated.
